Customers, family members and Broadacres colleagues have transformed an outdoor space at one of our schemes in Scarborough, creating a welcoming garden for customers to enjoy.
The project was supported by funding from Broadacres’ Sustainability Fund (now known as Community and Sustainability Fund) and brought together customers, their families and colleagues.
A series of project days helped bring the garden to life, with customers also giving up their own time at weekends to support the transformation. Together, they revitalised an outdoor area, creating a brighter and more attractive space where people can relax, socialise and enjoy spending time outdoors.
The finished garden is already making a positive difference, providing customers with a welcoming outdoor space that supports wellbeing, encourages connection and helps people enjoy nature closer to home.
The project is a great example of what can be achieved when customers, families and colleagues work together to improve their communities.
Broadacres’ Community & Sustainability Fund provides grants to support projects that benefit customers and communities across the areas we serve.
Funding can be used for a wide range of initiatives, including community improvements, environmental projects, wellbeing activities and schemes that help bring people together.
