Broadacres Housing Association has secured a new £106 million funding package from NatWest to support the delivery of affordable homes and continued investment in communities across North Yorkshire.
The funding will help Broadacres continue its long-term development programme, supporting the delivery of much-needed affordable homes while also investing in existing homes and services for customers.
As part of the agreement, Broadacres has secured a NatWest Social Loan, designed to support housing providers delivering homes for social rent and creating positive social impact within their communities.
Andrew McColl, Director of Resources at Broadacres Housing Association, said:
“This is a significant milestone for Broadacres and an important investment in our future.
“For more than 30 years, we’ve been committed to providing safe, secure and affordable homes across North Yorkshire and supporting the communities we serve.
“This funding package gives us the financial strength and confidence to continue delivering new affordable homes, investing in our existing homes and responding to the growing demand for affordable housing across the region.
“We’re pleased to be working with NatWest through a partnership that recognises the positive impact housing associations make within their communities.”
Broadacres currently owns and manages more than 6,800 homes across North Yorkshire and surrounding areas, providing homes for thousands of customers in both rural and urban communities.
Andrew Dexter, Real Estate Finance Director at NatWest, added:
“Broadacres has a strong track record of delivering positive outcomes for customers and communities across North Yorkshire.
“We’re proud to support the organisation through this funding package, including a Social Loan which reflects our commitment to supporting the delivery of affordable housing and community benefit.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Broadacres as the organisation moves forward with its ambitious plans.”
The funding package supports Broadacres’ ongoing commitment to investing in Great Homes and Great Communities across the region.
