Meet the team
As an experienced Chair and non-executive Board member, I have a track record in developing strategy and turning it into successful action through strong exec/non-exec teams. From 2021 – 2024 I served as Chair of the York & North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership, including contributing to the creation of the new York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority and the Boards of Transport for the North and York Central. Previously I was a Board member at Your Homes Newcastle, Chair of Trustees Unlimited, a Trustee for the St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity, consulted with Circle Housing at Board level on Welfare Reform and coached with other Housing Associations. In my senior executive career at BT, I led BT’s mobile outsourcing business to significant growth, developed internet product portfolios, Board strategy and led M&A deals. I set up BT’s Volunteering Programme globally for BT’s Chairman and have experience of community regeneration. In the energy industry, I led major IT & information management programmes for BP.
It is a privilege to lead the Board at Broadacres, working with the strong Executive team and great colleagues to serve our customers. Broadacres is proud to be the rural housing association focused on North Yorkshire, building quality new homes, improving the energy efficiency of all our customer’s homes to a minimum SAP C and delivering homes that are affordable to live in.
