Ending your tenancy

Giving notice

Your tenancy agreement is a legal document, and you must give us notice (4 weeks) in writing if you wish to end your tenancy.

Your tenancy will always end on a Sunday, if you hand your notice in on a Wednesday the four week notice period will commence on the following Sunday and your tenancy will end four weeks later. If you are moving to another Broadacres home, then you may not need to give four weeks’ notice, however you will continue to be charged until you return your keys.

Ending the tenancy on behalf of someone else

There may be circumstances where you need to end the tenancy on behalf of someone else, for example if they have died.

In these circumstances please use our ‘Third Party End of Tenancy’ form at the bottom of this page.

Please note: If the tenant can manage their own affairs, do not use this form.

In those cases, the tenant should complete a ‘Ending your tenancy’ form below.

Important information

• You must pay your rent until the end of your tenancy and compete any outstanding repairs that you are responsible for.
• You must clear your home of all your belongings and make sure it is clean and tidy, including the garden, when you leave.

Damage to your home:

• If you have damaged your home, you will be charged for the repair.
