About supported housing

The purpose of the supported housing is to provide housing related and other support, in order to enable people with mental health issues to maximise and sustain their independence in the community and also support them to achieve their rehabilitation and recovery goals.

A multi-agency approach is used to deliver short-term (up to 2 years), support services with Broadacres staff working closely with the Community Mental Health Team, Consultants, General Practitioners and other support providers.

Eligibility

The service is offered subject to a referral by a secondary mental health service, an initial assessment consideration by an allocation panel, and have the ability to move within 2 years.

Locations

The service has 2 schemes at present, Leyburn Lodge in Leyburn and Malpas Road in Northallerton. Each scheme has 6 individual flats.

  • Residing in North Yorkshire County Council Local Authority area
  • Does not pose any unreasonable risk to other individuals or property
