Frost prevention

It is your responsibility to take all reasonable precautions to protect your home from frost damage. Try to keep your house reasonably warm both during the day and at night. Reduce drafts wherever you can around doors and windows, but allow enough ventilation so that condensation does not become a problem.

If you are going away, turn off the water stopcock and ask us to drain the hot water and cold water systems. If you are only going away for a few days leave your heating on a low setting.

If you do not do this, and your pipes burst you will have to pay for any damage caused to you and your neighbour’s property, as a result.
