Gardening competition 2009

Each summer we hold a competition for all our budding gardeners.  Judging usually takes place in July.  There are prizes for:

  • Best front garden
  • Best back garden
  • Best hanging basket
  • Best patio / container

An entry form is published in ‘Viewpoint’ and can be downloaded here whilst the competition is open.

This annual competition is going from strength to strength – many keen gardeners enter each year but this year we are pleased to report that some of the entrants were completely new to the competition.

The tenant judges Doreen, Terie and Tom from the Tenants Liaison Group visited all the gardens and were impressed with the standard of entries into the competition.

For the first time this year, at the suggestion of tenants previously involved in the judging, we introduced a new category ‘Best Communal Garden’ for which several fantastic entries were received.
