Broadacres is a RoSPA Presidents Award
Winner
Broadacres Housing Association is celebrating
winning the prestigious President’s Award at the 2009 RoSPA
Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
The award was received at a ceremony at the
Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on 14 May 2009 by Guru Naidoo,
Director of Corporate Services and Chris Skidmore, Health and
Safety Officer.
Organisations are eligible for the RoSPA
Presidents Award for being awarded 10 or more consecutive gold
awards. From over 1700 applicants Broadacres are one of only 120
organisations nationwide to have been awarded the President’s award
this year, and the only organisation from the social housing
sector.
Guru Naidoo commented “To achieve the award,
Broadacres had to supply RoSPA with evidence of systems in place
relating to ten key performance areas, from training and
communication to monitoring and reviewing procedures. To have done
this now 10 years in a row is testament to the commitment of all
employees at Broadacres towards establishing and maintaining an
effective safety culture.”
