Golf Tournament raises funds for charity:

Broadacres Housing Association held its eleventh corporate golf tournament recently to raise money for charity.

The event, held at Romanby Golf Club, Northallerton, raised £2500 towards Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Fifteen teams took part with local firm, JB Thomas (Heating) Ltd walking away with the Broadacres Cup and Strata Construction Ltd coming a close second.

Laura Hambleton, Community Fundraiser for the Marie Curie Cancer charity said “We are very grateful that Broadacres chose to support Marie Curie Cancer Care in this way.  The money raised will help us to provide more care for people throughout North Yorkshire in their own homes at the end of their lives”.
