AAT Accreditation
Broadacres Housing Association has become the first
in the sector to receive Accredited Employer status with the
Association of Accounting Technicians.
The scheme recognises employers with a
positive and planned approach to the professional development of
their AAT members, during their studies and post
qualification. The award shows Broadacres’ commitment to
their staff and their professional development. To achieve
the award, they needed to satisfy certain accreditation criteria
and were able to support this with other awards from recognised
bodies such as Investors in People.
Richard Armitage, the association’s Financial
Performance Manager, who was presented with the award by Pam Dyson,
President of the AAT, commented “We are pleased to be the first
housing association to receive the award which demonstrates
Broadacres’ ongoing commitment to its staff. There are now 18
other associations who have received the accreditation, which
highlights the relevance of the AAT in the housing
sector.”
