Handyperson Scheme - Hambleton, Richmondshire,  Ryedale and Stockton

Our small household repairs service is aimed at doing all those small but essential jobs that you feel no longer able to manage and that will take no longer than 2 – 3 hours. Some examples are:

  • Small Joinery jobs
  • Small plumbing jobs
  • Replacement fuses
  • Replacing curtain rails
  • Adjusting cupboard doors
  • Assembly of flat pack furniture
  • Gutter clearance
  • Repair of skirting boards

Home Security Service

Working closely with  Local Authority Community Safety Partnerships the Agency conducts home safety assessments and will supply and fit, free of charge, the following:

  • Door chains
  • Door viewers
  • Window alarms
  • Other items as appropriate

Home Safety Service

The Agency provides:

  • advice and equipment to help prevent falls in and around the home
  • fire safety 
  • community alarms.

Upon assessment we can also supply and fit smoke detectors free of charge

Minor Adaptations Service:

Our Handyperson Service also incorporates an adaptations service which can be viewed on the following page. These works are usually performed to enable a person to remain in their own home in safety and security or to enable an earlier discharge from hospital.
