What are service charges?
If you are a tenant
If you have a tenancy where we provide extra
services such as cleaning or meals or facilities such as heating or
shared areas your rent will include a service charge.
If you are a leaseholder
Under the terms of your lease you will be
required to pay a service charge to cover the cost of any services
and repairs we carry out to the communal areas. You will also be
required to pay an annual ground rent.
If you are a leaseholder or shared owner
We will arrange to insure the building and
will recharge you annually for the cost of the premium for your
flat.
You are responsible for insuring the
contents.
How we calculate service charges
We review service charges every year and they
are based on the costs for the previous 12 months.
We will tell you about any change, which will
take effect in April and send you a schedule showing you how your
service charge is calculated
