Floating support service
Floating Support is a flexible
peripatetic service providing or facilitating a range of low to
medium level support to people living in their own homes or
tenancies with an aim of maintaining independence. The service is
provided for as long as it is needed but with a clear exit
strategy. When it is no longer required the support ‘floats off’ to
another person who needs it. If a person needs support again it can
return.
The service offers short term support (less than 2 years) to
tenants in crisis, for example helping with:
- those issues that may lead to eviction
- people taking on tenancies for the first time, e.g. care
leavers
- people moving on from supported housing or care
provision
- people who require a fresh start
- support for homeless people
Our services are not just provided for Broadacres' tenants but
also to people living in their own homes, the private rented sector
and tenants of other Housing Associations or Councils.
