Your payment card

Paying using your payment card could hardly be easier. Simply give your card and payment to the cashier.

The cashier will swipe the card and take the payment and you will be given a receipt. The payment will then be processed and credited to your account.

  • What is a payment card?

A payment card is a plastic card that holds your name and reference number. It holds no other information and ensures that any money you pay in at any of the payment options we offer will reach your account. It cannot be used as a cheque guarantee, debit or credit card.

  • Will it cost me anything to use it?

No.

  • Where can I pay using my payment card?

We offer you lots of ways to pay using your payment card at the Post Office or a PayPoint outlet for example. Click here to find out where/how you can pay from our leaflet 'How to Pay'.

  • How long do the cards last?

It should last several years. If you lose or damage the card please contact us on our freephone number 0800 587 5291 or click here to email the finance team so that we can arrange for a new card to be issued to you. Please take care of the card at each time we send out a card it costs around £6. If you do make regular requests we may need to charge you.

  • What proof of payment do I have?

After a transaction has been made you will be given a receipt. Please keep these safe in the wallet provided.

  • Can I have an additional card?

Yes, again if you ring us on either of our numbers below we can supply an additional card for a relative or carer to use.
