Getting Involved

We want as many people involved as possible so that we can make sure that the feedback we get is representative of our tenants.

We value and encourage any level of involvement from our tenants. Involvement can range from a five-minute phone call, taking ten minutes to complete a survey, to a full day meeting or training session. It could be a one-off or you could get involved on a regular basis.

By getting involved you can:
  • Influence decisions that affect your housing service
  • Make your area a better place to live
  • Develop your own skills, experience and knowledge – which you can use elsewhere and may benefit your own personal development
  • Give us your views about the services you receive
  • Help us better understand the needs of our customers – that’s you
  • Help us provide better quality, customer focused services

The only cost is your time. We will pay reasonable travelling and other costs that you may have, for example childcare. If you need support to get involved, we can help you.

Each year we will consider what impact your involvement has had. Our impact assessment for 2010/11 can be downloaded here. This also includes our priorities for 2011/12.

Roadshows

To download the evaluation report for our recent roadshow events click here.

Annual performance report

We produce an annual performance report that provides information on how we meet our own standards and those set by our regulator. We will send a copy of this to all tenants.

Surveys

We regularly carry out surveys, from our monthly repairs survey to a survey of all tenants every three years. These will usually be by post or phone. We realise that we all get surveys regularly and don’t always have the time, or sometimes we can’t be bothered to fill them in. We do take account of your views so please answer them if you can.

Customer involvement strategy

We have produced a customer involvement strategy and action plan in partnership with existing customers involved in the Tenants' Liaison Group and from information customers gave us as part of the Tenant Satisfaction Survey 2008. To download the documents click below:
