Section 106 Agreement
A Section 106 Agreement is a planning condition that restricts who a property can be rented or sold to. Usually it gives priority to people with a local connection to the town, village or area. Local connection is defined differently by the local councils and planning authorities but it can be:
- living there; or
- working there or taking up a job there; or
- having close relatives living there.
There is usually a time period to establish a local connection and again this can vary.
