Broadacres is committed to working across North Yorkshire and County Durham to provide affordable homes. We already provide over 5,000 affordable homes and are committed to providing more high quality properties.

With the significant rise in house prices, people increasingly find themselves unable to afford housing in their area. This can force them to move away from family and friends or find themselves living with relatives or living in temporary and unsuitable housing.

Recognising this growing problem, Broadacres has an active new property development programme and provides both affordable homes for rent and homes for low cost ownership. We also provide specialised facilities such as extra care homes and other supported accommodation. We are particularly active in the rural areas of North Yorkshire.

We always build to the highest standards in terms of both design and construction. All of our grant funded homes have to meet the Homes and Communities Agency's standards. This means our properties generally meet a higher standard than is required by the building regulations.

It is our ethos to work proactively and in partnership with communities, local authorities, the Homes and Communities Agency, land owners and developers to maximise the provision of affordable housing.
